BEAR TRAP REPORT Reported January 15 2002 by Charles

Interstate 81 in Virginia,  Mile Marker VA 239 near Mt Crawford VA.

Charles reports: "Trap is in the middle of the interstate.  Troopers well hidden from either direction.  For South Bound traffic the trap is just after you cross over the bridge over the North river.  Trap is deadly for North Bound traffic.  You can't see the cruisers until you are on top of them.  After a car is nailed the Bear has a quick turn around at the 240 exit and can be set up again in just a couple of minutes.  This is probably the most used site on the interstate in Rockingham county."
