BEAR TRAP REPORT Reported 1997 by Herb
Confirmed March 3, 2006 by Bill
Interstate 44 in Missouri, Mile Marker 129 near Lebanon MO.
This driver reports: "This is a busy truck stop and Smokey likes to get into the deep pockets of truckers.", Bears are creatures of habit.
Driver Bill reports: "Officer pulled me over for "failure to yield to a parked emergency vehicle". I was driving in the right lane on I-44. I was pulling a trailer and driving under the speed limit. The officer had pulled over another vehicle on the side of the road. As I passed the officer, I saw him walking back to his vehicle. He caught up to me 2 miles down the road and pulled me over. He issued me a citation without a warning. He stated 'you have to pull over to the left lane when passing a parked police car' and 'my captain won't allow a warning for this violation'. The fine was $133.00." Sounds like Bill got a little close to Smokey and pissed him off. Few drivers realize they need to yield to parked emergency vehicles and should pull into a left lane when passing.
There are specific "Situations" where you can find bears because they are creatures of habit. Read my book Bear Traps On The Interstate and learn Bears tricks
